we bought these post cards about a decade ago. the back of the card says, mexican figuritas. they are either tarot cards or playing cards. not exactly kid-themed but i hung them in the wee one's room last week.
The pictograms are iconic, and often re-interpreted by Mexican artists. I have one on my desk right now that has been incorporated into a mini-shrine. It's "La Estrella" and features a skeleton (day of the dead) version of "Marrowlyn Monroe".
do you remember the vintage clothing store on king called revival? we loved browsing in there and i snapped them up one day. they've been sitting in a drawer for a very long time.
