For something lighthearted I suggest anything by David Sedaris.Oh, and the Amy Grant Memoirs are coming out in the Fall.
I don't think I can help you! Everything I've lately has been recommended or lent to me by you. (I just got Divisadero in the mail.)If you haven't read White Teeth by Zadie Smith yet, I'd go for it. It's fun. But not necessarily light.
